Johnson City Railroad Experience introduces new event: ‘Rail Jam’

Johnson City Railroad Experience, in conjunction with the Tennessee Arts Commission,
is announcing an outdoor concert with four different artists, food, and free admission to
this musical event and the museum.

To celebrate National Train Day, Johnson City Railroad Experience (a local non-profit
museum) is introducing ‘Rail Jam’, a concert on part of East King Street on May 2, 2026 from
12:00PM to 5:00PM. The Johnson City Railroad Experience, in conjunction with the Tennessee
Arts Commission, will be hosting four different local artists: Jenny and the Weazles, Bratfolk,
Ryan Brenard, and John Bill & the Academics.

The ‘Rail Jam’ venue will be directly in front of the museum at 207 N Boone Street, Suite
2000. That section of King Street will be blocked off for the performances and the food truck that
will be there. The admission for the concert and the Johnson City Railroad Experience museum
will be free that day thanks to the Tennessee Arts Commission! National Train Day is May 9th,
and in celebration of this, ‘Rail Jam’ will be a week before on May 2nd!

You can sign up for this event at: Rail Jam! Tickets, Saturday, May 2 • 12 PM – 5 PM |
