About Ben Foy

Ben Foy started in radio as a Junior in high school. He was hanging around the local radio station in Taylorsville, NC close to where he lived in Stony Point when the Morning show host left. Ben says he got the job because no one else at the station wanted to get up that early. He was on from 6-8am and in class by 8:15. In the summer of '72 he went to school in Atlanta, GA and obtained a First Class Radio license which not only allowed him to be on the air but to work on transmitters as well. This opened new doors and his Senior year he was Chief Engineer at both stations in Taylorsville. After graduation, working at stations in North Carolina and Central Tennessee, he left radio to help his father in his trucking business. After 4 and 1/2  million miles, health problems put him back on the radio in Eastern Tennessee. Also an accomplished drummer, Ben says he is very blessed to be a part of 107.9 The Bridge playing the Great Southern Gospel music he loves.
