Bristol Theatre's ARTspace
506 State Street, Bristol, TN

The Parenting Sweet helps parents and caregivers connect with each other and parenting resources from organizations around the region monthly on the second Saturday at 10:00 am at 506 State Street while very young children enjoy Theatre Bristol’s PLAYtime in the ARTspace.

Appalachian Promise Alliance’s (formerly Bristol’s Promise) Parenting Sweet and the region-wide Parenting Education Network provide one-stop perusing of opportunities and resources for families with support from Ballad Health, Bristol Housing, and Theatre Bristol.

Parents, grandparents, and caregivers browse and connect with each other, and during the performance, caregivers and children ages 0 to 5 benefit from unique parent-child experiences that help foster healthy development and lots of fun. Children enjoy live performances of classic songs, nursery rhymes, lullabies, laughs, and skits, as well as participate, learn, and experience special surprises.

PLAYtime in the ARTspace doors open the second Saturdays at 10:00 AM – bit.ly/PLAYtimeCalendar – with families welcome to drop in and visit until 11:00 AM.

Parents and caregivers are offered great Prime Your Parenting resources, including information on childcare, development, sleep, feeding, discipline, babywearing, classes, groups, safety, activities, and more from the Parenting Education Network and Parenting Sweet.

Admission at the door is $5 per family. More details are available at AppalachianPromise.org or TheatreBristol.org, or email samantha@appalachianpromise.org.

Volunteers interested in becoming involved with the Parenting Education Network are also invited to contact us about training and opportunities.

The Appalachian Promise Parenting Education Network is made possible by a grant from Ballad Health’s Population Health, part of the STRONG Accountable Care Community. Support from Ballad Health Population Health Department helps create a regional culture that helps all children flourish, benefiting from a strong start in life, community resources, resilience building, and learning.

Since 1999, Appalachian Promise Alliance (formerly Bristol’s Promise) has carried out its nonprofit mission to mobilize our communities to meet the basic needs of each child, youth, and family while promoting the development of their character, faith, and educational potential.
